Built on experience, not theory

From network engineering to E-Commerce leadership through two acquisitions, my path was not linear. It was better: I know what works because I have done it at every layer of the stack.

Operator first, consultant second

I started in the early days of broadband infrastructure, building the networks that made online commerce possible. That engineering foundation shaped everything after it: I never became the kind of E-Commerce leader who needs the technical side explained.

At Ryan's Pet Supplies I built the E-Commerce operation from a catalog business into a national online channel, growing online revenue 500% over four years, then ran the multi-brand Shopify Plus portfolio after the company was acquired.

As Director of E-Commerce at skinbetter science, I grew DTC revenue 120% year over year and led the channel through the company's acquisition by L'Oreal, including a platform migration executed mid-transaction.

Along the way I co-founded ElixirGrow Technologies, an agricultural biotech company, and built its digital presence and B2B acquisition engine from zero.

eComStrategics is the practice built on all of it: one operator, direct involvement in every engagement, and 20+ years of pattern recognition applied to your specific growth problem. I have managed P&Ls, hired teams, negotiated with vendors, and stayed up late fixing broken integrations the night before Black Friday. That is the depth behind the advice.

How I think about growth

Data over opinions
Every recommendation is backed by data. I build the measurement first so we can prove what works and kill what does not. No guesswork, no pet projects.
Speed over perfection
In E-Commerce the cost of inaction is usually higher than the cost of imperfection. Move fast, test constantly, iterate on real results.
Systems over tactics
Tactics expire. Systems compound. I build repeatable growth engines that keep delivering after the engagement ends.
Ownership over outsourcing
No dependency by design. Every strategy, dashboard, and process belongs to you: documented, and your team trained on it.
Operator over advisor
I have managed the P&L, fired the agencies, built the team, and hit the numbers. I do not theorize about what might work; I have already done it.
AI over overhead
I deploy AI across research, analysis, and reporting so your budget goes to strategy and execution, not headcount. The output of a team at the cost of one operator.
